Hi, I'm Divya!

Born and raised in New York, I moved to Washington, DC to study Finance and Real Estate at The George Washington University and started my career as a financial analyst. After working with the design team as a financial product analyst, I took the plunge and transitioned to the team as a designer. I discovered that the financial domain knowledge I'd picked up was essential in understanding user needs, and I've been combining the two ever since.

Outside of work, design never really stops. You'll find me oil painting, building (and playing) video games, hiking, bouldering, or deep into whatever craft project I've convinced myself I have time for. Every one of those things is a reminder that good design, digital or physical, is about precision, patience, and care.

At Freddie Mac, I serve as lead designer across 10 applications in the Single Family division. My work spans Loan Selling Advisor, Credit Risk Transfer, Total MI (Mortgage Insurance): Cancellations, Reconciliations, and Claims, Tip Referral Tool, Loan Coverage Advisor, DPA One, and more. If you want to know more about any of these or have questions about my work, feel free to reach out.
